In partnership with the Area Health Education Center (AHEC), you can kick the habit. AHEC provides a free Tobacco Cessation Program services throughout St. Lucie County. The goal of this program is to teach you the benefits of quitting and what to expect when you are quitting. A trained facilitator will guide you to identify triggers, deal with withdrawal symptoms and brainstorm ways to cope with them. AHEC provides at no cost either a two hour or a 6 week workshop that meets for one hour at a time. As part of this program, you will receive free Nicotine Replacement Therapy (patches, gum or lozenges) if you wish.
